We run family-first camping weekends in Southern California, up to 50 families at a time. Kids come first, nobody needs a built rig or any experience, and the point is simple: get kids outside, make friends, learn something, and find people you'd camp with again.

A full kids' itinerary. Campfire talks. Icebreakers so nobody stands around not knowing anyone. A swag bag and a sponsor giveaway for every rig.

Most weekends

A hands-on class for the adults, different every time. Kids' movie night, tug of war, arts and crafts, and at least one shared meal, whether that's a potluck, a dinner, or a group breakfast.

SOMETIMES

When it fits

Adult games. A second night. Every now and then a trail ride. Each event page spells out exactly what's on for that weekend.

Built for the kids

Camp layouts, downtime, and activities are planned around them. They make friends the first night and don't want to leave. Grandparents welcome too.

No experience needed
If you can drive a dirt road you can do this. Half the group is on their first or second trip.
No built rig required
Stock trucks, SUVs, crossovers, roof tents, ground tents, trailers. Whatever gets you there.
One price per rig
Everyone in your vehicle is covered. Exact location is emailed a week out for safety and privacy.

Questions

Do I need a 4x4 or a built rig?

No. Basecamp is reachable in any vehicle that can handle a dirt road. On the rare weekend with a trail ride, it's optional and kept mild.

What do I bring?

Your own camping setup, food, water, and chairs. Each event page lists what's provided that weekend and what to pack.

Are kids really welcome?

They're the point. Kids' activities run all day Saturday and camp is laid out so they can roam safely. Most rigs bring kids, plenty bring grandparents.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at most weekends. Keep them under control, clean up after them, and check the event page for any site-specific rules.

Where exactly is the event?

The general area is on each event page. The exact location is emailed to registered guests one week before the event, for safety and privacy.

What does the price cover?

Pricing is per rig, so everyone in your vehicle is included. That covers camping, the kids' itinerary, a swag bag with a giveaway ticket, and whatever classes, meals, and extras the event page lists.

What's the refund policy?

25% of each registration is non-refundable but can be applied as credit to a future weekend or transferred to another guest. No refunds within two weeks of the registration deadline. Full policy here.
