Desert Lakes & Canyon Dreams
This isn’t just a trip — it’s a retreat. A slow-paced journey through red-rock canyons, hidden beaches, and starlit skies where every camp feels like it was chosen just for us. With short driving days and long afternoons to unwind, this adventure is designed to give you and your family space to breathe, recharge, and reconnect.
Vehicle Requirements: 4WD (no 4Lo required).
Day 1 – Shores of Lake Mead
We roll out from Upland and end the day camping along the vast waters of Lake Mead. The first night sets the tone — toes in the sand, desert breeze in the air, and the simple joy of being away from it all.
Day 2 – Coral Pink Sand Dunes
Our drive takes us to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, where we’ll settle into a scenic campground with showers and amenities. From there, the dunes are ours:
- Take your rig into the waves of pink sand (flag required).
- Ride into the sunset on a private group UTV + sandboarding tour (discounted for our crew, ~ $75 per person).
- Or just grab a board and carve your own lines.
The day ends watching the sun melt into the dunes — a desert memory you’ll carry forever.
Day 3 – Alstrom Point Overlook
After a quick stop at the ancient Moqui Caves, we’ll follow 2.5 hours of winding dirt trails to Alstrom Point — one of the most spectacular overlooks of Lake Powell. Tonight’s camp sits on the edge of a view that feels like it belongs on another planet.
Day 4 – Lake Powell Beach Camp
We descend to the water and spend the night on a hidden beachfront camp at Lake Powell. Paddle boards, kayaks, or simply floating in the still water under desert cliffs — this is where time slows down. Hot showers available when you choose.
Day 5 – Horseshoe Bend ➝ Grand Canyon Rim
We savor a slow morning at the lake, then stop to take in Glen Canyon Dam and the famous curve of Horseshoe Bend. The evening’s reward: camping on the rim of the Grand Canyon, with nothing but open sky and endless canyon walls in front of us.
Day 6 – Quail Creek State Park
A short drive brings us to Quail Creek, where our reserved campground sits steps away from adventure:
- Paddle boards, kayaks, and jet skis
- An aqua park for the kids
- Mountain biking trails, fishing, or simply soaking in the stillness
Showers, clean facilities, and everything within walking distance — comfort meets wild.
Day 7 – A Day to Unwind
We stay put, giving everyone the freedom to dive deeper into the water, the trails, or simply their hammocks. This is the day to do everything… or nothing at all.
Day 8 – Homeward Bound
Why This Trip?
Because sometimes the greatest adventures aren’t about how far or how rough the road is — they’re about where you wake up and who’s beside you when the sun sets.
This is exclusive, intimate, and unforgettable. Six vehicles, one shared journey, and a lifetime of stories to take home.
